Songs of Ascent - Part II

The other thread reached 1,000 posts, so we had to close it and start a new one. For reference, here is the first thread:

http://www.u2interference.com/forums...nt-194570.html

That thread was starting to get pretty off-topic at times, so let's please keep the discussion related to the topic at hand. If you want to compare U2 to other bands, please use an existing thread or create a new one, if one doesn't already exist.

Thanks!

Well, Eno's going back to the studio with U2. But everyone knows that.

So who else is hoping that Crazy Tonight and SUC were just the remainders of Bomb on the last album, and that NLOTH was a stepping stone? Hopefully there'll be no limits to the band's adventuring on Songs of Ascent.

I suspect they're just going back to the studio so Larry can read the paper.

BBC - 6 Music - No U2 for Eno

Quote:
No U2 for Eno
Correction: they're not off to the studio
16 April 2009 - Representatives of Brian Eno have contacted 6 Music to ask us to correct last week's report that he is in the studio with U2 this week.

A spokesman said Eno isn't working with the band at this time.
Why did Eno lied to us?

This is all not news. The only important thing right now is the tour and I'm sure U2 are working hard on rehearsing and preparing for the tour. I've never believed for one moment that they go into the studio right now to record a new album. If anything, they are rehearsing.

The news that Eno hadn't been working with the band hurt me.

It was reported by BBC 6 Radio, I think, but I can't remember; atu2.com says it was the BBC who reported that Eno said this. The latest news that this wasn't true at all came from BBC 6 Radio, though, which cited an Eno representative denying this fact.

I found out all this stuff here:
U2 Home Page: @U2 - U2 News, U2 Pix, U2 lyrics, U2 Collectors Guide and more!
