'Smell the Flowers while you can' from ZooTV

Hello,

The phrase 'Smell the flowers while you can' was used in the ZooTV tour. Does anybody know if this is part of a poem? If so, does anybody know who wrote the poem?

I know David Wajnorowiczabadugaggaphenia (sp?) said it (but I guess that's obvious from watching the concert...atleast I think it was mentioned on the concert video).

YEAH, so in conclusion, I'm not sure if it was used in a poem or not Sorry....

OK, let's get the spelling down first. It's Wojnarowicz.

As per the quote, it comes from his book Close To The Knives: A Memoir of Disintegration.

Also, if you don't know or have forgotten, it's his photography that was on the cover of the One single.
