Slug

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

He does. Axver and I pretty much established how great Slug is in a thread from days gone by.

Yeah it's a really good song
For ages(back in about 97 - 99) I could not find Passengers anywhere and only I had the lyrics.
That made so eager to hear the song and it didn't dissapoint.

Also does anyone notice the backing sound in it which sounds alot like the the backing sound for the intro to Where The Streets Have No Name on the ZOO TV tour?

Oh yes, Slug is amazing; it's definitely one of my top U2 songs and one of my three favourites from the nineties. It has such an amazing atmosphere, very ethereal and beautiful. For some reason, I get almost a Wild Irish Rose vibe from it - I can't explain where it comes from, but it just does. Those two songs would be amazing together live. It's a tragedy U2 would never play them.
