I've never understood why Bono used Bullet as a verb in "Bullet the blue sky"...

Thanks for solving a longtime mystery for me! I always thought he used "bullet" as a noun as opposed to the blue sky - to further create the atmosphere of the song, and to emphasize what the song was about.

I had no idea it was a verb.

I thought that it meant bullet the wonderful, innocent things in life like they were doing in El Salvador.......a completely stupid order to do, but the stronger survives........
