thank you for the setlist!! great show, really in great form; all of 'em...

question:

at the end of Bad, Bono sand a snippet of a chant of sorts, heard it before, but i can't remember where. Its really beautiful, a blend of innocence and resiliance; verging on a nursery rhyme lullabye...

does anybody know what this is called?? origins?? thanks in advance...

ps. so who's got the job now??

thanks for yer help kiddies; but i gots the name for the song!! and the lyrics if you're interested {irish ballad}:

it was Cockles and Mussels, or Molly Malone

Comic Song, Written and Composed by James Yorkston

In Dublin's Fair City
Where the girls are so pretty
I first set my eyes on sweet Molly Malone
As she wheel'd her wheel barrow
Through streets broad and narrow
Crying cockles and mussels alive, alive o!

Chorus
Alive, alive o!, alive, alive o!
Crying cockles and mussels alive, alive o!

She was a fishmonger
But sure 'twas no wonder
For so were her father and mother before
And they each wheel'd their barrow
Through streets broad and narrow
Crying cockles and mussels alive, alive o!

Chorus

She died of a fever
And no one could save her
And that was the end of sweet Molly Malone
But her ghost wheels her barrow
Through streets broad and narrow
Crying cockles and mussels alive, alive o!

Chorus

As usual, slight modifications to lyrics here and there. Perhaps the most significant: "Religious nuts, political fanatics don't belong/That's not New York's kind of song"

Bacchus, thank you for those lyrics!
I had no idea what was Bono saying, it kind of makes sense now.

The absence of "The Fly" is disturbing.
