Saw this in a forum about V Festival...(relates to Bono)

Hi!

Saw this comment by a user called Bobby Gillespie at a forum for V Festival (A summertime rock festival in two places over the weekend of 16th-17th August with RHCP, Coldplay, Foo Fighters etc etc). He was talking about Coldplay and this is what he said:

"remember the moment chris martin called his dad from onstage in 2001 just because he saw Bono do it once?"

I thought, really? Did Bono do that onstage? If so when and where?

Any ideas?

I think I read this in Flanagan's book during ZooTV. If I'm remembering right, his dad wasn't very happy and flipped Bono off.
It's been awhile, though, so I could be wrong.
