I'm sure there was a thread like this, but I couldn't find it. anyway, U2 likes to help out other bands right, well now's the time! put your money where your mouth is! $19000 is what these guys make just for getting out of bed. They claim to big Ramones fans, then SAVE CBGB's!

Also because U2 is rich...so they should be the ones to save everything in which money is involved.

Seriously though...it is sad that CBGB's is closing. But even if the money issue was taken care of for now, what's gonna be done in the future? The problem won't just go away. They would need a permanent solution, not a quick fix.

I've played there; it's a dump and the management sucks.
but then that's every club in ny.

U2 shouldn't have to pay ALL of it...a bunch of bands should get together and start a fund or something. If every rich band donated $1000 we'd be in business. but I don't think U2 or any band is obligated to do anything, and if they did I think they would choose to do it privately...
