All That.. is nominated for both. I wanna know, what's the difference?

Also their competition in both catagories is Alicia Keys and even Bob Dylan right?

Odds are U2 wont even win both, as much as I and probably all of you want them to, Dylan or even Alicia Keys will win.

Weirder things have happened at the Grammys.

The more of these I drink the more Bono makes sense.. - Bean from the KROQ Breakfast with U2.

I think they're nominated for Walk On for record of the year.. which means single.

And album of the year is for ATYCLB.

They'll win at least 3. That's my guess.

Yeah, record of the year and song of the year are similar categories. One awards the performer and the other awards the songwriter. Because all of the nominees in both categories are the songwriters, there is a lot of overlap in the nominations.

I had the loudest mouth. When we formed the group, I was the lead guitar player, singer and songwriter. Nobody talked back at first. But then they talked me out of being lead guitar player and into being the rythm guitar player and into just being the singer. And then they tried to talk me out of being the singer and into being the manager. But I held on to that. Arrogance may have been the reason. - Bono

As a vehicle it has its limitations: it probably wouldn't get you to work and back. But it could make someone a fantastic cocktail bar. - Edge on the lemon

Actually, "Record of the Year" is an award for the production team involved with the song.

Also, Alicia Keys is NOT nominated for album of the year in the General Field.
