Eg. Achtung Baby with Zoo TV influence

1. Zoo Station
2. The Fly
3. Even Better Than The Real Thing
4. Mysterious Ways
5. One
6. Until The End Of The World
7. Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses
8. Tryin' To Throw Your Arms Around The World
9. So Cruel
10. Acrobat
11. Ultraviolet (Light My Way)
12. Love Is Blindess

i like it, the beginning may work better than whats acctualyl on Achtung Baby, but i liek the end better, with Acrobat leading into Love Is Blindness

I like the track order of AB, the only thing that I would change is the last three songs. But for arguments sake, I rearranged the entire album:

Zoo Station
Even Better then the Real Thing
The Fly
Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses?
One
Mysterious Ways
Until the End of the World
So Cruel
Tryin' to Throw Your Arms Around the World
Acrobat
Love is Blindness
Ultraviolet

The track list of ATYCLB should be seriously rearranged. They changed it at the last minute, but the album would have flowed much better as it was originally. As Bono critiqued Edge's tracklisting of HTDAAB, "You can't have a slow song second one in."

1. Beautiful Day
2. Elevation
3. When I Look At The World
4. Peace On Earth
5. Stuck In A Moment You Can't Get Out Of
6. Kite
7. In A Little While
8. Wild Honey
9. New York
10. Grace
11. Walk On

1. Daddy's Gonna Pay For Your Crashed Car
2. Lemon
3. Dirty Day
4. Stay (Faraway, So Close!)
5. Numb
6. Some Days Are Better Than Others
7. Babyface
8. The First Time
9. The Wanderer (without alarm)
10. Zooropa

Hey, thanks. The Zooropa is a bit more unnecessary, but I've got kinda carried away now.

All That You Can't Leave Behind
1. Elevation
2. Beautiful Day
3. Kite
4. Grace
5. Wild Honey
6. When I Look at the World
7. Stuck in a Moment That You Can't Get Out Of
8. In a Little While
9. Peace on Earth
10. New York
11. Walk On

Beautiful Day is a fine opener, but I like the Elevation to Beautiful Day opening used for the tour... and Walk On makes a good ending, I always felt like Grace kinda seemed "tacked on" to the end of the album, especially after the beauty of New York. Walk On provides a more uplifting ending, imo.

I don't know if I could really re-arrange any other U2 album, because 1) Wild Honey is stuck in my head now and 2) They're all fine the way they are. ATYCLB is fine the way it is too, but I like my way better...or Tombola's :p

Great idea for a thread!

Pop
01. Gone
02. Mofo
03. Miami
04. Playboy Mansion
05. Discotheque
06. Please
07. Staring at the Sun
08. Last Night on Earth
09. Do You Feel Loved
10. Wake Up Dead Man
11. If God Will Send His Angels
12. If You Wear That Velvet Dress

Fun! I'll do it again.

Zooropa
01. Zooropa
02. Lemon
03. Daddy's Gonna Pay for Your Crashed Car
04. Stay (Faraway, So Close!)
05. Dirty Day
06. Some Days Are Better Than Others
07. First Time
08. Babyface
09. Wanderer
10. Numb

4th of July
Wire
The Unforgettable Fire
A Sort of Homecoming
Indian Summer Sky
Bad
Promenade
Pride
MLK
Elvis Presley and America

Open with the instrumental and WHAM get hit with the rocker! Settle down with the title track and build it up again from there. Pride and MLK stick together and act as one song kind of like how One Tree Hill flows. Close out with the haunting and beautifully chilled EP and America. I have done this mix before. Check it out.

I would've made Rattle & Hum a double album, but half studio, half live:

Studio (Disc 1):

1. Desire
2. Hawkmoon 269
3. Silver & Gold (Studio version)
4. Angel of Harlem
5. A Room At The Heartbreak Hotel
6. Love Rescue Me
7. Heartland
8. God Part II
9. Hallelujiah (Here She Comes)
10. When Love Comes To Town
11. All I Want Is You

Live (Disc 2):

1. Helter Skelter
2. Van Diemen's Land
3. Bullet The Blue Sky
4. Running To Stand Still
5. All Along The Watchtower
6. I Still Haven't Found
7. Pride
8. MLK
9. Streets
10. With or Without You
11. People Get Ready

Now that is something nice.

That's a good idea Jofo! I really like Hallelujiah (Here She Comes). In fact, it's been awhile since I've heard it... I need to break it out. I've always wondered why they didn't include the live versions of "Exit" or "With or Without You" on Rattle and Hum? They are both such good versions of the songs

This is my ideal ATYCLB:
1. Beautiful Day
2. Summer Rain
3. Elevation
4. Stuck in a Moment (acoustic)
5. Kite
6. Always
7. In a Little While
8. The Ground Beneath Her Feet
9. When I Look at the World
10. New York
11. Walk On

Why Walk On doesn't close that album, I will never understand. I know that people never end an album with a potential single, but come on... the song is called Walk On!

To show how low my music tastes can stoop...

Alanis Morissette's new album, "So-Called Chaos" closes with the first single, "Everything."

Alternate Joshua Tree:

1. Where The Streets Have No Name
2. One Tree Hill
3. In God's Country
4. With or Without You
5. Running to Stand Still
6. Red Hill Mining Town
7. I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For
8. Trip Through The Wires
9. Mothers of the Disappeared
10. Bullet the Blue Sky
11. Exit

i still love the original tracklisting but i thought separating the three singles at the beginning and making exit the last track could work also

Alternate HTDAAB:

1. Miracle Drug
2. Vertigo
3. Love And Peace Or Else
4. City Of Blinding Lights
5. Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own
6. Yahweh
7. Original Of The Species
8. One Step Closer
9. Crumbs From Your Table
10. A Man And A Woman
11. All Because Of You

The order of JT is perfect if you stick with those eleven songs. However, I would like to add some ...

UF is perfect. You just can't mess with it, especially not Promenade/4th Of July/Bad, which might as well be a single track.

In fact, U2 are pretty good with the track order.

That tracklisting makes me drool...I don't know why, 'cause I have all the songs, but it still makes me drool. Though you took out Wild Honey...I love Wild Honey... but other than that yeah it's great  TGBHF is possibly my favourite U2 song, so to see that on an actual album would make me SO happy...and I love Always and Summer Rain and the acoustic SIAM and...

Okay. I'll calm down now. But, cool CD :D

I took out Wild Honey just because I think it's very similar in sound and meaning to In a Little While. But one could be subsituted for the other easily.

UnforgettableLemon, that is interesting about the Alanis album. I've never known of any artist to do that before. Does the song work as an album closer?

My track order for Pop is. When I listen to Pop this way I find it more pleasing especially using the new mixes. My track order for Pop is. When I listen to Pop this way I find it more pleasing especially using the new mixes. I appreciate the album more
