Some of us who became U2 fans in the 80's and 90's would like to think that most people were drawn to the band's creativity and uniqueness. When one participates in a forum like this, you're faced with the reality that they're a huge, huge band, and that the majority of their fans are pretty mainstream and have bland taste.

It's something I often forget, but then I come into EYKIW and am quickly and painfully reminded. These types of polls make it even worse.
