And now we shall rate the first half of Rattle and Hum.

Please rate Angel of Harlem on a scale from 0 to 10, using whatever criteria you feel allows you to best evaluate the song as a whole. I will not set criteria for people to based on, but if you feel like your best evaluation of the merits of a song comes from voting only based on, say, the studio version, go right ahead and vote that way. Full information on the Rate The Song series may be found in this thread.

Have fun! This poll will close in 96 hours.

Meh. I really have heard this song too often I guess. It doesn't have anything special to me.

OMG Digi I love you!!!! I just read your signature. That's the quote Bono says before Streets lovetown Rotterdam, I've been trying to figure out where it was from since forever!

Great, fun, infectious song with kick ass momentum. R&H is widely centred around this tune, which really came into its own live.

A great song for walking the streets of Dublin.

9.

Yep, as well as one of the Point Depot shows (in more complete form, if I remember correctly). It's from a good novel. :)

10. Fun, folksy, jazzy, rocky, all at the same time. Perfect radio song, it's a shame it isn't more popular than it is (though hitting 14 on the Hot 100 is nothing to be ashamed of). It's extremely easy to play on guitar, but fun as hell. Really great live, too. It's a shame it's left the live sets, I hope it comes back on the next tour. Rarely, maybe NEVER, get tired of this song.

Check the version from December 26, 1989 at the Point Depot. Has the horns, and Suspicious Minds. Spectacular version. Streets and One Tree Hill from that show, too...:drool::drool:

Probably one of U2's most recognised songs by the general public yet for some reason it's a song I often forget about and doesn't get mentioned on Interference a lot either.
A lot of fun and some incredible vocals too, the "you never looked like an angel, yeeeeah yeahhh" part at the end must have given Bono a sore throat for months"
Love it.
