I like this particular cycle:

"Attention to health is life's greatest hindrance." - Plato (427?-347? B.C.)

"Plato was a bore." - Friedrich Nietzsche (1844-1900)

"Nietzsche was stupid and abnormal." - Leo Tolstoy (1828-1910)

"I'm not going to get into the ring with Tolstoy." - Ernest Hemingway (1889-1961)

"Hemingway was a jerk." - Harold Robbins

"Do you know," lectures Larry Mullen Jr, "One of Hitler's first military acts was to carpet bomb the village of his birth? He was obsessed by obliterating his past."
"We should do that to the Q photo library," muses Edge. "Destroy all evidence of mullets!"

I had a book of quotes with the quote "God Is Dead" by Neitzche. Teh very next quote was "Neitzche was an idiot" by Tolstoy. Thereafter, every quote was by Neitzche was immediately followed by the "Neitzche was an idiot" quote by Tolstoy! I looooove it!

To use the old hippy saying, it ain't where you're from, it's where you're at. And right now. If you're listening to this CD, you're already watching the sunset in your mind, feeling the heat on your skin and whilling away the hours. Simply chilled. Best way to keep it, really. -Matthew Kershaw - Ibiza Sunset.

"Who's that little ol' man?" Lennon (1964)...

"I'm already gone... Felt that way all along..."

That would be cool (though not completely accurate!) ha!
I read this awesome book years ago about a "meeting" between C.S Lewis and Socrates, where they discussed things like salvation and abortion. It was really insightful.

Well, it just frankly surprises me to see a thread like this here-in a good way!

*hated philosophy in school*

Anyway, here's another...
