Question about Love and Peace or Else

I tried doing a search first, but I didn't come up with what I was looking for, so sorry is this has already been asked 50 times and I have some how managed to miss it.

Has anyone broken down anything that is being said at the begining of this song? Or having any guesses as to what it is?

I just listened and I think it is neither 'calm down' or 'man down.' It is 'lay down' as in 'lay down your guns.'
