Question about "Gone" live

On the boots I've heard of both Popmart and Elevation, right before "Gone," Bono shouts something that sounds like "Butch!"

Is that what he's saying? If so, who the heck is Butch?

He's shouting 'Hutch!' as in Michael Hutchence, the (now former) lead singer of INXS who commited suicide back in Nov of 1997.

Ahhhh. Interesting. I didn't realize "Hutch" had two songs dedicated to him in concert.

And I thought some of those shouts I heard sounded like "hutch" and not "butch."

Bono and Hutch were great friends.

If you watch Bono during "One" on the PopMart video, you can feel his pain and hear and see him about to cry... that's why he backs away from the microphone... it makes me cry everytime I see it.

Adds a whole new meaning to the song...
