Photos of U2's NME Awards Performance

Here are four photos of U2's videotaped performance at Hanover Quay Studio for last month's NME/Carling Awards (the "Brats"). This is the performance where Stuart Morgan filled in for Adam - they played a cover of The Ramones "Beat on the Brat". In picture 2 you can see the cardboard cutout of Adam, and in the next picture you can see Adam's bass tech, Stuart Morgan, in the background playing bass.

why was Adam not there????
I guess I wasn't paying attention to U2 news and gossip that day.
Does anyone know??????????
