Massive attack Brilliant! Their Mezzanine album is one of my all time favorites. Some of the sexiest music I've ever heard.
Air Sexy Boy didn't really grow on me.. But loved their creepy soundtrack to Virgin Suicides.
Portishead Another favorite of mine. They are fabulous - Dummy is priceless. Their live video, PNYC, is amazing.

Groove Armada: Never heard of them.
Massive attack: Have heard of them, not sure if I've heard their music.
Air: Have heard of them, not sure if I've heard their music.
Portishead: Have heard of them, not sure if I've heard their music.

All pretty great bands in their own way.
I am especially interested in Portishead. Dummy is amazing, as is the self titled.
If you want the best of both worlds get the live cd recorded in New York with full orchestra...it's very very good!

Groove Armada - Good, highly recommended by my mate Alison
Air - Good, highly recommended by my mate Nige
Portishead - Okay, highly recommended by my cousin
Massive Attack - Great, highly recommended by me

Massive Attack and Air are brilliant. Check out Mezzanine by Massive Attack and Moon Safari by Air. In a recent Q magazine Adam said his favorite album of the last 15 years was Massive Attack vs Mad Professor: No Protection. I haven't heard much of this one but it's pretty good.

Air are amazing. Latest album was a bit disappointing, but Moon Safari is a classic
