One Tree Hill/Exit flaw on Joshua Tree CD

I read about the mastering flaw between One Tree Hill and Exit on version of The Joshua Tree. The version I currently owned had this flaw, so I went out and purchased a brand new copy of the cd, only to find that this copy has this flaw as well, with OTH running at 4:43, despite what it said on the cd case.

I was wonder where and how I can possibly get a copy of the album that does not have this error. Thanks.

You'll have to fix it yourself, or get the Gold Remastered Version(out of print), which I think has it fixed?

How do I fix it myself if I can't find a non-flawed copy?

Download something like Audacity, do some cutting and pasting, and burn your own copy.

I honestly can't understand why this bothers people so much, though.

There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it...my cd copy is the normal cd edition, NOT the gold edition, and it doesn't have the flaw.

yeah, i mean unless you're listening to one of the songs by itself, does it matter which song the "oh great ocean..." bit is tacked onto?

As far as I can recall, there have been only 25361 threads about this.

I guess if you want to make a compilation and want to include either One Tree Hill or Exit, it's a problem. esp. if it's Exit!

Same here. I bought my copy in 2001.

I think there is no problem if you're listening to the CD straight through... it's the same thing

Now if you want to rip the songs to your computer and hear them one by one... just download correct versions of the songs like I did
