Alright :) Last night I was listening to Numb and then realized that I have been listening to Numb for like a year now, and I DON'T HAVE THE WORDS IN MY HEAD YET! No matter how hard I try... I can't memorize them. So, who has them memorized? Be honest now

And, does anybody have hte lyrics to Lemon? I really need them :D Thank you

Well, I know like every other line of Numb maybe... probably not even that... I'm just gonna have to study those lyrics... yep. I'll study them rather then study school work.

I have them memorized. I had it memorized the first time I heard it when I was 12 years old. The song numb was actually my first introduction to U2 (yes I am really really young) and when I first saw the video, I thought for the longest time that The Edge was the lead singer. :p

I have most of the lyrics memorized, if not the whole song. I love that song.

I'm not sure about that. I read somewhere (possibly Bill Flanagan's book) that he was on the plane trying to memorize the lyrics.
I read that on the internet somewhere, I think it's cute and funny :D Whether he was lip syncing or not he still had to memorize it!

Even Edge didn't have them memorized until the day of the MTV Awards performace.
Is there anyway I can get this performance? I'd love to see it :hyper:

The video is the best! :D Of course the Elevation video is pretty groovy too! But I think I would choose Numb over Elevation
Talk about SEXY

Lol...this song brings back memories. Me and a few friends did a little spoof of this song for our high school variety show---we got into a little bit of hot water for it too! (ah, memories)

Sometimes I think Numb is kinda like that one REM song where everyone knows the beginning and the end but you get lost somewhere in the middle. That's where you just gotta go with it! I did know them all at one point, I don't think I could do it without reading them once now though.

I've decided that since I can't learn the fricken words ( I WILL EVENTUALY!) That I'll just hum the bit in the middle

out of all of U2's works, i have to say i hate numb totally, and have a love hate relationship with Lemon.. I hate the music video, and I hate the parts where Bono is singing like a weirdo, but the parts where hes singing like a normal person are awesome.

Suzanne is sitting next to Edge, to whom she is reading travel orders. She has been assigned to escort Edge to Los Angeles tomorrow for the MTV Awards. "It's you and me," she says, "all the way to LA."

"That'll be nice," Edge says. Then Suzanne tells him she's got a big stack of work for him to do on the long plane ride. Edge sinks lower in his seat as she ticks off the list ending with, "And by the time you land you're going to know all the lyrics to 'Numb'!" Edge groans. "You're going to have it down!" Edge puts his elbows on the table and his face in his hands.

Boy, I sure wouldn't want to be the passenger in front of Edge on that flight! If I had to sit on a plane from Ireland to California listening to an eleven-hour monotone recitation of "Numb" I'd chew off all my nails and start on the fingers of the person next to me.

I love it when Bono sings like a weirdo!

When Zooropa came out, I made it my mission in life to memorize Numb. But the time I had it down, I didn't think I would ever want to hear it again. But it's one of my favorite U2 songs, and I love it. I still know it, too.
