solar looks very convincing next to this... "ready to rumble?" it's so tacky and so not even close to anything u2 would ever do that i'm almost believing it...

You know what though? It's so bad, it's almost believable. U2 might have done something like this back in the late 90s, just to mess with everyone. If this new record is supposed to be "garage" rock, why not make an album cover and song titles that get gritty on us? It would have to smack with irony, of course.

I want earnest, uplifting u2 from here on in. It can rock as hard as it wants, but I'm tired of EVERYONE doing the irony thing since u2 did it in 1991.

and please....a proper album title; POP was irony and that was the dumbest title they ever had.

You all lack sense of humour or what....? Anyway this cover is better that ATYCLB or POP by far. It is a joke but it is well done. Why some of you are so ironic about it...? You could swallow worse things if done by U2...but not by fans who want to create their own style while waiting for this album....which is not an easy thing to do...Patience...can go together with fun....
