Nearing the end: new St. Louis and Atlanta photos (U2photos.com)
LA3 was originally the end of the tour, and I didn't have the money for the additional shows. Sacramento was on the way home to Idaho, but I thought I was done after that; I'd driven (with some help) 11,000 miles in seven weeks and was staggeringly tired. However, I worked with a merchandise crew for two Britney Spears shows, selling glowsticks and posters. Mock that if you wish, but with the cash I earned from that, some great friends offering floor space, and some very old frequent flier miles, I was able to stumble my way through the last four shows. I took all the film left in my house - fourteen rolls - and fortunately, they survived five trips through airport xray machines.

Sitting here with my scanner, the tour is going to end for me again, darn it. I talked my way into photo passes for the last two shows, so at least there will be some different images than I usually get. enjoy... otto | "Rock 'n' roll will be gone by June." - 'Variety', 1955 | Otto Kitsinger | <otto@U2photos.com> | 62 U2 shows, 1,940 photos, 1 camera: http://www.U2photos.com |
