"It's cold outside, and darkly lit..."

Ok, I have this in my head. It is a U2 lyric right??? From what song?!?! It's driving me mad.

------------------
"It's no secret that our world is in darkness tonight..."

oh yes. It's from the song Zooropa.

It's cold outside, but darkly lit...skip the subway, let's go to the overground...get your head out of the mud baby...

hehe. Happy to help. It's one of my favorite songs. But I must admit...for a few seconds, I thought of 11 o'clock Tick tock. It's cold outside, it gets so hot in here....

Isn't it "...but BRIGHTLY lit?"

------------------
"I don't know you,
But you don't know the half of it..."

Don't worry baby, it'll be alright
You got the right shoes
To get you through the night
It's cold outside, but brightly lit
Skip the subway
Let's go to the overground
Get your head out of the mud baby
Put flowers in the mud baby
Overground

Awww, seriously, Angel, it is no big deal.

Who amongst us has never flubbed a lyric? *hug*

I'll add some of my lyrical stupidity to this thread to take away from your mistake:

You know "Walk to the Water"...where he says, "He said he was an artist, but he really painted billboards?" I thought it was, "The city wasn't honest, with pretty painted billboards."

Whoops...*lol*

"I don't know you,

Thx guys. Guess my memory is just not what it used to be.... Gotta get my head out of the mud baby!
biggrin.gif
hehehe

Here's more stupidity:

The reason I had to edit my above post was because I spelt "Isn't" wrong...I forgot the "n"...*lol*

GET OUT!
I heard "the city wasn't honest" too when i first listened to the song!

Here's some more of my mistakes:
"sky falls, you feel like it's a beautiful day"

i heard "sky folds"!

or "but no, it's elevation" instead of "the goal is elevation"

or "it's too late, tonight, to drag the passed out into the light" instead of "to drag the past out into the light"

The most bizzare comes from I still haven't found what i'm looking for:

"i have climbed"

while i heard

"Achill yeah"

(to this day, i have no idea how come i heard that) LOL
