Message Forum: Talk about this show with other U2 fans!
Comments: Bono and Edge sing 'Please' with a fan who plays piano. Two fans get engaged
during 'Still Haven't Found' and Bono wishes them well. About 20 FDNY and EMS workers
are brought on-stage during 'Walk On.' One has a sign: 'Tuesday Bloody Tuesday, 9-11-01'.
They stay on-stage the rest of the night, even after the band has left, and many take the mic
for spoken tributes to their friends and family. The show is videotaped by someone on-stage
with a small, handheld camera.

YES.
Please! They played it again. And another fortunate fan gets on the stage to play with them. Cool.

Awesome! I wish I went! At the 10/25 show there was a guy on the floor wearing an FDNY shirt and had a sign that said "In the name of Love will you help me propose..( Don't remember exact words but this was during "Pride" and I don't know if Bono saw his sign since he wasn't acknowledged). I just wonder if it was the same man! How great!

Additional notes, coming from @U2 site:

* Bono adds a brief snippet of Bowie's "Young Americans" at the end of
"Elevation"
* A fan gives Bono a flower during "End of the World," and Bono peels
the petals off and tosses them back into the crowd
* U2 fan Bruce B. gets on-stage to play piano during "Please" which Bono
and Edge perform without the rest of the band; sounded great via cellphone
* two fans in the reserved seating area got engaged during 'Still
Haven't Found'
* Bono came out in an FDNY shirt for the encore again tonight
* "What's Going On" was just Bono and Edge, with Larry doing some light
tapping on the cymbals
* two girls in I(heart)NY shirts were brought on stage during "New York"
* after (or during?) "One", Bono placed his jacket, with the inside-out
so the U.S. Flag was showing, over Larry's bass drum
* Out of Control went on for a loooong time and sounded great over the
cellphone
* Bono ended the show with both the Irish and U.S. Flags draped over his
shoulders

just got back from the show (MSG 10/27).

Out of the 6 shows I have now seen on the elevation tour this one was the best. I was right in the middle of the heart-what an amazing atmosphere! Thank you Propaganda.

The highlights of the show were Please with Bono and Edge on acoustic guitar and someone on piano (apparently a fan who did a good job) and Out of Control to end the show. It was the most emotional U2 show of that I have seen punctuated by the fireman who accompanied Bono on stage at the end. I also enjoyed seeing ISHFWILF return to the setlist. Overall, very tight show, with a ton of energy, emotion and togetherness.

BTW, other cities on the tour, Bono, with a huge grin, said the NYC is the loudest in America.
