One Tree Hill

------------------
"And when it's raining,
raining hard, that's when the rain will break my heart."

When looking at lyrics there is always the voice in my head asking to be astonished when reading lyrics. It is like the advice given to the poet by the listener: Astonish me! well i do this with everything and the only u2 song that lyrically really astonished me was running to stand still.

well, anyway, i can't put into words how profound "running to stand still"'s lyrics are for me personally. and even in a general/universal context, the lyrics are so deep and moving. best song lyrically..hands down.

OK, drop the vocals, drop the music. You are just reading the lyrics or hearing someone read them. What song would touch you the most?

Me- North and South of the River

"Mothers of the Disappeared"
"Shadows and Tall Trees"
"Running to Stand Still"

------------------
"I don't know you,
But you don't know the half of it..."

For me, without a doubt:
One, Bad, Elvis Presley & America, and All I Want is You.

~~~All I got is a red guitar, some Boards and my youth.~~~
Story of Judas and Jesus in UTEOTW....
