A theory - there's a lot of hype about U2 this week, and knowing the way big media companies and Clear Channel operate, my guess is that it's timed in part to enable U2 to sell a few more shows (and some DVDs). Just a guess, but all these things are being announced at once: DVD release, Super Bowl halftime announcement, Joshua Tree being surveyed as the "best pop album" ever in that English poll, Jay Leno show and other Thanksgiving events. We'll see . . .
