No it's actually a relatively small square box maybe 5" by 5".

The poster is folded, which actually kind of sucks.
 
OMG!!! I'm so jealous! I asked (begged) my husband to get me one for my birthday...gotta love that my bday's in Nov.

My nine yr. old son asked for an iPod for Xmas/bday combo present, "I don't care if Santa doesn't bring me anything else!". Then he heard about the U2 iPod, "Oh Mom, you've got to see this! Maybe Santa will bring you one instead!" my heart melted!!

i just got the confirmation email today :hyper:
mine should be here tomorrow or the next day, i chose the over night shipping.
i can't wait to get it!

although the ipod is my christmas present, tomorrow is my birthday which has just become a little happier :D :applaud:

i was thinking i wouldn't get it till thanksgiving which would not have been good since i would be out of town for that.

TIP: remember to install software, stop @ point where it ask you to plug iPod into computer & plug it in to get the iPod formatted.

This will allow your computer to recognize the iPod in iTunes.
 
U2 Ipod Kicks A$$

SO if I have any claim to fame, I think I might be the first to post on their new ipod... how sad :wink: I've never used an ipod before and so far I'm really diggin it.

For those who are interested, I had a little problem installing it on my PC cus it said it had to be formatted and didn't do anything for a few minutes, so I closed the box that told me it was formatting and continued with the installation (Did not unplug it at anytime). The computer restarted itself and automatically (and unexpectedly) added all of my music already in Itunes right into the pod- I wasn't ready for that but whatever.

Everyone enjoy their ipods.

Of course Vertigo was the first play :wink: sounds strangely better on it than I thought- damn commercialism seeping into my brain.
 
P.S. I got mine so early cus I bought it at the Apple Store. The sales rep told me they weren't expecting them so soon...wonder if the leak had anything to do with this.
 
so um does the ipod come with anything on it?

i just got my notification yesterday. should have my ipod later today or tomorrow :hyper:

Don't laugh, but I left the box on the shelf where I have other U2 stuff.

It's a cool box, what can I say. I won't be moving it anytime soon.

I have to thank my wonderful husband and kids for this most awesome Christmas present. Even though I pretty much told them this is what they are getting me this year and ordered it myself :wink: :D :happy: :applaud:

That's funny, I practically live next door to Dulles, & you don't know how many times I've waited for packages & tracked it there & said to myself, I'll save them the trip & go pick up my own packages there. :D

Have fun with it! Haven't loaded any U2 yet cause I'm waiting to do it in 1 swoop with the DBoxset.

I can see why ppl dig these things. Music for any moment of your life.
