I'm confused though...Isn't it only an hour long?

according to CBS they're only airing the second verse of each tune.

:hmm: So we'll still get all the songs then? That would be interesting...

But it seems more likely that they'll pick a handful of full songs, don't you think?

 I wish!

I saw it but I don't remember everything. The play Out of Control and Elevation, BD, Streets, SBS (I think)... I can't remember the rest. It was pretty much like the Boston DVD, only a lot less songs. :(

Ooh...Out of Control? Exciting!!!

But I have heard that it's much, much better than the boston DVD.

Well, in a sense it is. The crowd is wild! And it's a much more emotional performance by the guys. I'm sure you will love it!

 Now I'm really pumped. I was just looking at Yahoo and they have "One" listed as one of the songs played...I was SO disappointed that it wasn't on the Boston DVD!

I love the setlist that was posted :) However, here is a more likely setlist:

1. Elevation
2. Beautiful Day
3. Stuck In A Moment
4. Angel Of Harlem or Sunday, Bloody Sunday
5. Out Of Control
6. Where The Streets Have No Name
7. Pride (In The Name Of Love)
8. One
9. Walk On

I highly recommend this special to everyone. Go watch it!

Anyone else counting down

I'm so happy, sooooo happy, Slane on CBS is 15 min away. It feels like New Years Eve!

Woo Hoo! Boom-Cha!

Same here, 3 hours, I guess living on the westcoast we have to be patient, it's like New Years 2000, it felt like it was all over before we even got to celebrate!

1st commercial.
:|

so far, so good!

the crowd is going apeshit!!!!:eeklaugh:

to bad the first two songs were nsyns covers.

slane castle

from nick,
this should have been the dvd,
it is spectacular, what are the chances
of it being released as a dvd
thanks and peace

I thought that this was supposed to go along with promoting the Best Of. If that's the case, then why only 2 songs off of the new best of? I'm not complaining, just wondering why they didnt include Stuck or UTEOTW or Stay or gone (if they were played)

chris

the show is great by the way

I think the best part of the television show tonight was "Out of Control"........thanks to my father for lending me 500 pounds...........

Wow! I don't know where to start. I can't decide what part I liked best. I just wish it had been two hours long. I'm so glad they showed them playing One this time. I loved it when Bono added that extra bit toward the end of the song - he sounded so emotional. The only problem is I couldn't quite make out the words he was singing. Anyone know what they were? And is it just me or did Edge particularly kick ass? And it was so cool to see Slane Castle all lit up in the background.

I do think it was funny that they called the show "U2's Beautiful Day" since the concert was at night.

I wish it had been longer than an hour, too, but the concert was awesome nonetheless.

Thanks to this high wind, though, the channel kinda screwed up a couple of times (luckily there's three stations in my area that were carrying the concert, so I just changed the channel), so my tape's gonna be a little goofy, but that's okay.

Very emotional ending with "Walk On"...poor Bono .

I loved the "Sunday Bloody Sunday" performance, especially the part where Bono was telling everyone to throw their arms up and everything. That was cool.

My dad watched the concert with me-he was amazed at how many people were there. He said the guys sounded fantastic live. :D.

Great show. Definitely worth watching. Way to go, U2.

Angela

It was well worth the wait and the fight for the remote control!!! My favorite part was when they all cracked up toward the end of Pride. Even Larry was smiling!!!

The songs were unbelievable. You could almost feel Bono's heart breaking while he was singing, "What you don't have you don't need it now, what you don't know you can feel somehow." I'll have to watch it again alone so I can get really into it and feel it too.

Out of Control was a treat!!! The 500 pounds bit was great!!!

:hyper:

A little less than 40 minutes left 'till it shows here on the West Coast...I'm really excited, especially after seeing some of the promo ads during the day!...Looks like it's gonna be great! :D
