Well, I think it does sound alot like older U2. Very straight forward rock - which is a better direction than the poppy music and obvious lyrics of ATYCLB. Also, the song is fairly fast, which I like - the less ballads the better.

I dont know how this snippet sounds anything like ATYCLB, to me its totally different. The lyrics are different, Bono's delivery is different, and the guitar riffs are different. On the "faster" songs of ATYCLB, the verses were slower and then the guitar picked up and climaxed during the choruses (Beautiful Day, New York, Elevation). It doesnt do that here, and the riff sounds nothing like ATYCLB. I just dont see the similarities. And this being from a big ATYCLB fan, its not AB or JT but I love all their releases.

It's a great start, I love what I hear so far.

Someone mentioned earlier a similarity with "She's gonna blow your house down" and I also noticed this after Bono finishes singing the course, the guitar riff sounds quite similar.
