Mercy

Would someone be kind enough to fill me in with any info on the song 'Mercy'. I've read a few mentions of it recently, and discovered the lyrics on U2wanderer.org I think it was over the weekend, but I'd not heard about it until last week.

I'm guessing its a track that didn't make it to HTDAAB? Would I be right in assuming its in circulation with the lyrics having been published?

Not sure how this one passed me by

kickass song that apparently didn't make the cut, and there's been a small amount of debate as to how long this song has been kicking around. the recording floating around sounds a tad unfinished, searing nontheless. i'm not sure if it's kosher posting a link here, so email me and i'll be happy to send you the song.

Mercy was apparently one of the last songs they did for the album, and it was on the original tracklisting until the band decided the tracklist was too long. They chopped Mercy and Fast Cars....too bad. It must of been the fade out on the song.....

The song is awesome, it only need a more powerful ending.
