Well, I tried to write out the lyrics to that awful quality clip to "Love and Peace Or Else" and found Bono says Native Son several times. Anyway, here are the (probably wrong) lyrics:

Awwww!
Peace and love, or else change me now!
Lay down now brother!
Doing it right
For a generous problem
So then we went to the riverside
I lit like a cigar
We're in your haste
And a brand new car
I make new proclimation
Not leaving on my knees
My heart, baby, is breaking
We'll heal what is wrong with you!
With peace!
LOVE AND PEACE!
Native sons, lay down your guns!
Oh because it's bright out
Or are you Abraham's son
I made a new proclimation
It's easier on my knees
If you're heart's a little naked
Native sons with peace
It's peace!
With peace!
LOVE AND PEACE!
Lights from the moon
Exactly in tune
Roses will bloom
I shall go at nune
Silent's the room
Still ways a ton
Lay down your gun
Silent's the room
I need some love
Where is the love?
LOVE AND PEACE!
PEACE AND LOVE!
But where is the love?

I'm not saying you're bad at translating lyrics or anything, but I don't think those are them... if those are the lyrics alot of them don't go together and make sense

have to agree, dont hear native son anywhere. But thats a good thing, we want NS to have not turned in L&P.

It's definitely "Lay down, lay down your guns" for the first "native son" line. The second is too muddled to be able to tell exactly what it is but it's certainly NOT "native sons"

If the rumors that 'Full Metal Jacket' turned into 'Native Son' are true, 'Love and Peace or Else' can't be 'Native Son'. I mean, it's a great song, especially the end, but from what I could hear it's not the mother of all rock 'n roll tunes...

Thanks SO MUCH for this version of "Love and Peace...." ! :applaud:

I LOVE THIS SONG - it's got a great rhythm line, hard-drivin' lead guitar and a singer whose HEART IS FULL OF SOUL!

This is going to be one of the BEST new songs on the upcoming tour - U2 will definitely rock the house with this song.

U2 - ALL HEART AND SOUL! :adam: :larry: :edge: :bono:

Here's what i'm gettin out of it:

I'm alive
Edge! Edge!
Lay down your.....
lay down your guitar
We're gonna die
For a generous problem
As you enter this life
I'm sayin goodbye
We're in your haste
And a brand new car

It's no time to take it
Not leaving on my knees
We're not gonna break it
Lay down with me...with me...with me...
With Love and peace!
LOVE AND PEACE!

Lay down
Lay down your guns!
Are you called the Messiah?
Are you Abraham's son?

And we're not going to take it
It's easier on my knees
If you're heart's a little naked
Lay down with me...with me...with me...
With Love and peace!
LOVE AND PEACE!

Lights from the moon
Exactly in tune
- (in audiable....like any of this is)
I know wher you crawl
-
-
An atomic bomb
Lay down your gun
I need some love
Where is the love?
LOVE AND PEACE!

Also, it's not "generous problem", It's: "jealous lover"

Many more .. but it's more fun you have you guess ;-)

LOL. Seriously guys, if we can't tell if it's "generous problem" or "jealous lover" (which I can't...) we have no clue what it really is.

We have no clue!!!!
