Just watched the Last Night on Earth video...

This has to be one (if not the worst) U2 video. I would've rather seen them in a room jamming to the song!

It was a spoof on the popular TV show at the time, The X Files. It also seemed like a dig on alien flicks and movies like 28 Days Later (even though that particular film was released much later!) I don't mind the video too much. It's different!

Last Night on Earth is one of their best live songs ever. The ending is orgasmic.

It's probably the song I'd be most excited to see them bring back.

Well, "it's alright, it's alright, it's alright, she moves in mysterious ways" and "baby, baby, baby, light my way" aren't exactly spectacularly well written choruses either. Will you call them turds?

The Original film clip had captions all through it a bit like a comic.
Something like "Our Heroes proceeded to take the girl to.." etc
And right at the end it says
" The Truth is really out there"
They removed these captions for the Best Of DVD.

And the song rocks especially Live !
