So, Jubilee USA is in the middle of a postcard campaign targeting Sec. Snow (the Treasury Sec). We're asking him to IMPLEMENT DEBT RELIEF LEGISLATION THAT CONGRESS HAS ALREADY PASSED. Treasury is dragging it's feet, and we can't let Jubilee's HUGE victory this spring be for naught. Here's what you do
1. Buy a postcard (one from your state is especially nice)
2. Write that you'd like the Treasury to implement the debt relief legislation recently passed by Congress (as part of the Senate AIDS bill) in order to (pick a reason) fight AIDS, fund schools, enhance global security by fighting poverty.
3. Mail your postcard to
Sec. John Snow
1500 Pennsylvania Ave
Washington, DC 20003
(Be sure to SIGN and give a return address!)
And that's it! We've got over 6000 postcards sent--let's help Jubilee make their goal of 10000 by Sept 21st! Pile up the postcards for Jubilee's summer blizzard!
