Anyone know why the cd booklet cover has a distorted image? The vinyl and cassette covers did not.

Variation? (like INXS did with their Welcome To Wherever You Are album, where each format had an unique cover)
The feeling that the original cover would be to tiny for the CD booklet? (but then, why keep it the same for the cassette)

In any case, that cover is/was horrible. Thankfully the original cover is restored on newer editions.

C ya!

Dunno. I always assumed they did it because the full vinyl cover wouldn't fit.

Europeans apparently got a reissue with the restored front cover (actually, it has a bit cut off so it can fit better) and a prettier back cover (probably the right indexing for the end of "One Tree Hill" too). Americans still have the crappy distorted version as far as I can tell.

Maybe it was a hint to the guitar distortion that would come with the 90's ? ;)
