It's a cover, and it's called "Jesus Christ"... the song's been in circulation for a while

It's from a benefit album they did in 1988, but the song is from the Sun Studio sessions that produced "When Love Comes To Town" and "Angel Of Harlem". It was originally released on a LP/Cassette/CD called "Folkways: A Vision Shared - A Tribute to Woody Guthrie and Leadbelly". Springsteen, Dylan, Will Nelson, John Mellencamp contributed to it too.

It's a Woody Guthrie tune. U2 did a cover version of it for a CD called Folkways: A Vision Shared. I don't know if this version is what appeared on that CD or a different one because I haven't tried the iTunes thing yet, but the one of the Folkways album is awesome!
