This comment is quite frankly unbelievable. Firstly, Adam's appearance doesn't affect the musical quality of previous eras, and if you're only in this to lust after the band members, just go buy some pornography because it'll make you happier quicker. Secondly, you're fourteen, Adam's forty-five. He's old enough to be your father!

Everyone seems to be forgetting that Party Girl is also on Under a Blood Red Sky, so this "limited edition" argument is moot. Maybe no one's forgotten it, but I'm astounded no one's mentioned it yet. Astounded, I tell you!

not forgetting that it's also popped up a few times on this tour too (I don't know how many times - i'm sure Axver can enlighten me) with U2.com taking note of this in their writeups.

No kidding. Who gives a crap if she personally thought it was new? She did because it was new to her. Geez. There was some crap I, a quote unquote lifetime fan, didn't know until coming here myself and I didn't get this kinda treatment.

Exactly. That's the point that everyone's trying to make here. We're not criticising this person because she didn't know the song or because she's a "newbie," we're criticising her because she claimed that it was almost definitely a new song she was hearing and that she was "pretty sure it's not an old song they're rehearsing." You just don't make those sort of claims when you don't have the entire back catalogue of a band that has a lot of material. It would have been far more sensible to post what martha just wrote.

And really, if there actually was a new song featured on the bonus disk, we ALL would have been talking about it the day the DVD was released.

I'm sure in her excitement of discovering a U2 song that she never heard of before, she probably posted this thread fairly quickly. We've all posted things abruptly and then realized we said something that didn't exactly come out the way we wanted to. People need to find something better to do than criticize someone for each little stupid error made.

And since most people in this thread are too busy criticizing and not bothering to help, I'll gladly post the link for the original B-side.

Party Girl's been played ten times this tour - thrice on the first leg, five times on the second, and twice on the third. Anyone who's followed the tour should be aware it's been played.

it's better if you not start off a post asking people to be nicer to someone by insulting everyone else in the thread

oh and guys, posting links to commercially released material (such as songs featured on uabrs) is against forum policy.
