I will say it seems you get treated more like an adult on U2.com, or at least they expect people to behave in a certain way, the mods aren't constantly telling people to watch their langauge/ how they treat other members.

U2.com really does feel like a community, a few times, threads were stickied for those wanting to say their well wishes/prayers/thoughts to other members who were ill, family troubles. Quite a few fan gatherings have taken place, some people have made real friends, not just online ones.

I don't really see that kinda vibe here, except maybe the pleban sub-forum, but then even they get made fun of on here.

Can you name 5 people on interference who you would genuinely like to meet in real life, or would travel to Ireland or wherever with, stay in the same hotel?

If you've never actually participated in Zootopia, other than the free side, I can see why someone would have a opinion of the place. And who's going to pay $40/$32 to find out what the paid forum is like?

If interference charged $32 for premium, would you still do it?

Both sites have their pros and cons, but the vibe isn't as friendly here, as it is on U2.com.

Zoo Confessionals gets a lot of personal topics from members and there are a lot of well wishes and prayers that can be posted there for them.

Also, maybe you arent aware that we have an entire forum just for gatherings.

Everyone's list has a lot more than 5 people on it.

I personally have met at least 50 people from this website over the years and some have them have become my best friends.


I agree that at times the vibe here is not 100% friendly and unfortunately a few bad eggs usually ruin it for everyone else, which is why the team tries our best to keep the peace.

I will say though, not that it matters, but there are always more users online here than there are at u2.com so that should tell you something.

I find U2.com's forum very hard to navigate. As far as Interference not feeling like a community, that's just crazy. I am often amazed at the amount of members who have formed friendships online and off. People have even found love here.

I guess it's what you know that feels like home, and I do feel at home at Interference.

I had the same opinion of interference before I elected to spend a good chunk of my time here getting to know other posters. Outside of Put Em Under Pressure and FYM, I believe this is a very welcoming and kind forum. Hardly the kindest I've been at, mind you, but sometimes it can be good to be held accountable for what you type. Besides, any time thousands upon thousands of people are crowded into one area, some scuffles and disagreements are guaranteed to happen. It's part of life.

Perhaps my opinion is slanted because I'm part of the inner circle, but that's just how I see it.

I think there is. Firsthand, I didn't really feel welcome here until a year or so ago, which I guess is my fault more than anyone else's. Maybe I'm just shy or whatever, but I find large communities like this intimidating.

I don't think just anyone could wander into IO and understand what the hell we're talking about.

That's the litmus test, IMO.
