Sorry you had such a disappointing time catwoman. I think reading the stories on here makes meeting the band members seem so much easier than it actually is. Seems to me it takes a whole lot of good luck to be at the right place at exactly the right time (and the band members have to be in the right mood too...).

That's exactly it! I missed them by about 15 or 20 minutes a few weeks ago in Minneapolis. I was disappointed but got over it quickly- it just wasn't meant to be. But I got to see some great pictures of them taken by people who were there and I was happy for them.

My hope is that if the day comes I do get to meet one of them they will have no where to rush off to and might give me enough time to buy them a drink and actually visit with me for more than 30 seconds. (Larry I already know would never do this no matter what, but maybe Bono, Edge or Adam would.)
Now THAT would be worth waiting a lifetime for. And I am willing to wait- I can wait while I go on with the rest of my life! And if it NEVER happens then so be it.

It's all about luck- and I don't have any of that when it comes to casinos either

And I forgot to add that hopefully I WON'T look like shit, smell like fruit roll ups or whatever my kids were eating AND I won't be screaming or crying either (well not until I see the guy from U2 anyway)

I don't think she wants to kill anyone. She just feels defeated about this. When you read some of the stuff on here you CAN begin to wonder how so many people who post on the same site can all have their moment and some of us never get one. (I even wonder if some people are full of shit, but they usually have photographic evidence to back their claims!) I have been a fan since '82- before a lot of people on here were even born(!) and I have never met any of them in person either. And I used to LIVE in bloody flipping Ireland for god's sake!

Some things are just meant to be and others are not.

Eh, scary is not the right word, overly complimentary towards the lads is how I would put it.

I'll have you know, I post a lot of stuff about Adam in the Adam forum at Zootopia, that is not scary, bass lines I like, my favorite basses of his, (did you know that Auerswald, banana/space bass is really heavy?), as well as PLEBA stuff, how cute his afro was...yadda yadda.

Threads about Adam don't get buried in the Adam forum.

I've had a post about Adam that was moved to Pleba one time. I still don't quite get how that works. Pleba is about them, but so is this forum.

The band members forums at Zootopia, PLEBA + EYKIW. OOOH that's why it's scary. Can you imagine pleba and this forum as one place?

Yeah... this is a head-scratcher. U2 have even played this song live many times. Wouldn't such a devoted fan have heard about this song being played live at least? Where did this person think the song came from? Or perhaps it's me - maybe I just went back in time a year. Yeah, that's it.

Who said I didn't hear about them playing it live?
That's why I was wondering where the song came from,then found out it was on the limited editon or whatever.

Apologies, I wasn't intending to bash or start a PLEBA bash - I have not a problem in the world with PLEBA. I am not impartial to lusting after the odd female recording artist in a not so PG way myself (Fiona Apple ). However, PLEBA is the "forum most likely" to feature the odd comment that most would see as a little too for comfort, and that's not a bash against PLEBA or the fine folk that post in there, it is only 1 in every 1000 posts or something. It's actually often a better source for breaking news and info then any other sub-forum.
