what would it look like? i dont know if i would change the releases because it shows how the band evolved but say if you would have wanted an earlier or later pop? or saved the joshua tree as the new album coming out in october? if the unforgettable fire was their first album do you think you would have wound up looking at the band differently? i think its an interesting question because people have different tastes for different albums and how/and at what TIME period they are presented makes an impact on a bands future.

I think they should've done them in this order:

HTDAAB: 1978
Rattle & Hum: 1979
Zooropa: 1981
Boy: 1982
All That You Can't Leave Behind: 1984
Pop: 1985
War: 1994
The Unforgettable Fire: 1995
The Joshua Tree: 1997
Boy: 1998
October: 2007
Passengers: 2008

this is the point where i would normaly say "buttplug"

I think they all fit their time pretty well, but Pop released the mid-late part of this decade would make a big difference. The likes of Kasabian basically took U2's blueprint for Pop and used it to great success.

10 years ahead of its time.

I'd have moved it all up forty years so that they would STFU about the Beatles.

I would have everything come out between the span of 1983 to 1990 with The Joshua Tree being the last album they released and the Liqour store LA rooftop performance be their last performance ever.

pop was way ahead of its time especially the concert more fans would go now and all shows wuld be sellout
i would also like bono to have the lovetown voice on the pop tours:drool:

how was Pop ahead of its time?
if anything it was just a couple years late
when Underworld and The Prodigy were the most popular bands around

I'd keep the order as it is
maybe HTDAAB before ATYCLB
but ALYCLB seemed to fit its time perfectly

Around where?

Edit: Just noticed your location. Makes sense, I guess.

I'm pretty sure Prodidgy even had some success in America in the late 90s

Underworld
