I'd love to for U2 to play a live-acoustic-unplugged concert. But they'll never do it. I don't think Bono is confident enough in his voice anymore.

Although his voice sounds really good sometime, from time to time he just looses it and doesn't sound as great. I'm sure he prefers a studio environment where he can redo his track voice if he's not having a good voice day.

I love your list though. Except maybe I would add "seconds".

It would be great but I doubt it would happen...Bono couldn't stop yapping long enough between songs ...couldn't get any music in!

I am not much for acoustic, but I have to admit I enjoy the acoustic version of Stuck.
A whole set though, would be tooooo much.

I love acoustic "Stay", but I really think that U2 are best when armed with a full-on set of electric gadgets,

"Drowning Man" would be a good song acoustic also. This is an often forgotten little gem.

I think it would be interesting to see them do an acoustic set; I'm not too keen on them either but I would love to hear Summer Rain live.

Never underestimate the power of acoustic! I think it would be bad if they switched entirely to acoustic, but if they were to play an acoustic set and maybe make a recording of it, I would be the last to complain. You'd probably be surprised what works in acoustic. Billy Idol, of all people, did a mostly acoustic set and some of his songs were BETTER than the original version.

I agree with Guy With The Stuff. Springsteen's 'Nebraska' is acoustic, and it's one of the best albums ever.

Bono: Wow, how many is that now Adam?
Adam: Nine. If I didn't have my spoons, I'd go insane.
Bono: Can I see it?
*adam gives bono the spoon, bono throws it away*
Adam: My spoon!

Wouldn't this rock as an acoustic set?

1.) Beautiful Day
2.) Stuck...
3.) In God's Country
4.) Rejoice
5.) Kite
6.) Please
7.) Promenade
8.) If You Wear That Velvet Dress
9.) I Still Haven't Found...
10.) With or Without You
11.) New York
12.) Always
13.) All I Want is You
