I wonder when Bono said Larry was the man that gave them there first job, and .......

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

keeps them in their first job, I wonder is that REALLY a job????

They LOVE it, "the top of the pyramid of experiences"- Bono on performing live.

I think they really have a double edge coin, the job is probably making the freaking record. That must be hell at times. Then rehearsing for a tour and putting all that together must really be hard to re-create THAT sound. Or find THE sound you will use. Lots of frustration leads to even more Guinness

But the tour? They live for that don't they. That is the big reward where it all comes together.

I thought of this while finding 'NYD' on the radio driving home from my JOB this morning. I realized while most of my friends think I am crazy, I love U2 and no one else can do what they do. Comparing my job to theirs, I would be somewhere at the foot of the pyramid of experiences

I also noticed the new 'People' magazine where they said that rocks highest grossing tour, U2's Elevation tour featured a resurgent U2 that lifted people to a higher place.

Perhaps to the top of the pyramid...

(that is not an exact quote from 'People', but something very close as I'm going off of memory)

Some things just keep on getting better...

It probably gets to be work when they get so sick of each other that they just want to scream. Or rumble with each other.

And for sure making the record must get tough.

If you are really good friends with The Edge, you can just call him The~ Adam

The right side of my brain is kinda redundant~ Larry

No Doubt it's tough and hard work

Most of us work to live, these guys seem to do it backwards

It's a real job, it brings home the bacon.

Not very many people are lucky to have a job they enjoy doing, U2 know they are blessed.
But in the other hand their job can be hard too, being far away from home while touring, being in the public eye, etc.
Everything has its bads and goods.

I don't know if it's all that helpful to think of it as a job. A vocation, maybe. They could retire yesterday if they wanted to.

"He nailed your head to the floor?"

"At first, yeah."

I could have slept yesterday if I wanted too, but pigs don't have wings
