1983. Listened to War all year along with Bryan Adams' Cuts Like a Knife. Listened to UF all the next year at art school, along with Dire Straits' first two albums. But when I heard The Joshua Tree in a car, on a mountain overlooking the city lights one night in '87, I knew this was the band of my life...

The answer used to be easy:
JT
AB
POP

Then ATYCLB came along and messed things up. (I think Tops oughta stop at Three's...)

Cool survey, scatter.

1. Achtung Baby
2. ATYCLB
3. War

Ok, i thought about it some more:
i guess i became a fan sometime after AB (it was either 92' or '93) when it comes to the music (yet i "discovered" UF only this past year), and i really started "hunting" U2 videos on MTV then. (mainly thanks to the video for One)

As for looking out for U2 articles in the media actively, that started about the time of Pop.

As far as the albums go, i'd say:
1) ATYCLB
2) JT/AB
3) UF

I'm not much help, am i?

Adam: Look guys, I got a Springfield spoon for my spoon collection.
Edge: Oh boy, here we go...
Bono: Wow, how many is that now Adam?
Adam: Nine. If I didn't have my spoons, I'd go insane.
Bono: Can I see it?
*adam gives bono the spoon, bono throws it away*
Adam: My spoon!

Interesting stats compilation, Bonochick! Thanks!!

Virtually everyone picks AB as one of their choices...and sometimes I think I should...but you know, I almost never listen to that album beginning to end. And there's one I don't like at all (TTTYAATW). For some of the songs, I would say it just about makes it, but my liking for it isn't complete enough.

Because I am crazy and odd.. I decided to tabulate all the votes to rank the albums in order of popularity. some people voted for a bunch, in which case I either ignored them or counted ones they put obviously first that weren't more than 3.

#1 ACHTUNG BABY (with 72 votes)
#2 JOSHUA TREE (with 56 votes)
#3 ALL THAT YOU CAN'T LEAVE BEHIND (with 43 votes)

The U2 revolution has been reinstated.

THE Larry Mullen Jr. Page
www.angelfire.com/tx2/KITIYU2

Question from Caller:we want to know how he's maintained his youthful looks. we think he looks so much younger than the rest of the band

Larry:let me put it this way. Michael Jackson got the idea of the oxygen tent from me. and all this hanging out with monkeys and shit like that, it's all to do with that.

D&C: That's a funny story. How come you've managed to slow down the aging process?

LM: That's a good question. I think it's the healthy living. I do all the right things. It's all the creams. I don't know maybe it's in my Levi's.

1. 1996-1998 (it was a gradual thing)

2. Its hard to compare them, because they each of their albums has a quility which none of their others have.

Rattle 'n' Hum
ATYCLB
POP
