How many different U2 songs did you hear live?

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
Pretty nice result:

99 songs, with 138 snippets (from 61 shows, so far ...)

– thanx to the guys from www.U2-vertigo-tour.com, who did and do an excellent job regarding setlists (once sent them the U2 setlists from my U2 concerts, too, to support ...)

Since I've never gone, I counted all the shows I could have gone to!

31 songs
19 snippets
3 shows

43 songs, 21 snippets at 3 full gigs (Slane 25/9/01, Croke Park 25 & 27/6/05) and 1 mini-gig (Freedom of the city, Smithfield, DUblin, 18/3/00).

Not bad, since it includes Sweetest Thing and A Sort Of Homecoming.

(That aggregator is superb by the way - kudos to its maker.)

38 songs and 20 snippets at three concerts.
that tool on the vertigo tour website is great

We found 67 different songs played during these shows.

49 snippets.

I even got an Eminem snippet during the Detroit Elevation show. :hi5: :p

I'm at 110 songs including a bunch of cover songs in 47 shows.

Album by album my song totals are:

Boy (6)
October (2)
War (6)
The Unforgettable Fire (6)
The Joshue Tree (9)
Rattle And Hum (5 new songs)
Achtung Baby (10)
Zooropa (3)
Original Soundtracks 1 (1)
Pop (11)
All That You Can't Leave Behind (9, 10 including bonus song The Ground Beneath Her Feet)
How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb (9)
U218 Singles (2 new songs)

Axver if you get the time maybe you could answer a quick question, on mine it said Songs from 9 U2 albums have been played, but it then lists just 7 albums. It also says one non album song played which I'm guessing was Miss Sarajevo, unless Passengers is being counted as a U2 album, but again it's not listed under the 9 u2 albums part (and still is short 1 album) I have 2 covers as well but I know those were Instant Karma and Happy BD.
Anyways... very cool regardless!

Unfortunately, due to the limitations of the system, "non-album songs" and "cover songs" are counted at separate album categories.

For example, see mine, which claims to have fourteen U2 albums, but note the ones in italics:

Songs from 14 U2 albums have been played during these shows.

· How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb (8 songs)
· Achtung Baby (6 songs)
· Boy (6 songs)
· The Joshua Tree (6 songs)
· All That You Can't Leave Behind (5 songs)
· War (3 songs)
· Rattle And Hum (2 songs)
· The Unforgettable Fire (2 songs)
· B-Sides (1 song)
· Cover songs (1 song)
· Non-album songs (1 song)

· October (1 song)
· Unreleased Songs (1 song)
· Zooropa (1 song)

There's nothing much that can be done about that, really. I'll try to think of a better, more clear phrasing at the very least, though.

Ah well that makes sense now!

So Passengers is not counted as "U2" then right?

Thanks! It's a very cool sight, the U2 site I visit 2nd most next to Interference  (actually the only other one really  )

We've never really had to make a decision on that. We count Miss Sarajevo as a U2 song in the non-albums category, and if anybody were to ever really press the point, it is technically, due to being labelled as a U2 song on the b-sides disc of the Best Of 1990-2000. Anything from the Best Ofs is counted as "non-album", re: THTBA.

No other Passengers song has ever been done live, and in the unlikely event that any are done (besides Your Blue Room, which has the same logic as Miss Sarajevo), we'll tackle that hurdle when we come to it.

Ax, nice tool

40 songs (3 were covers), 37 snippets (including some rarer snippets of their own songs) in 6 shows during Vertigo. Never seen a song from Pop or Zooropa or R+H. 1 opener, 3 closers.

Makes sense. and I do hope you will need to tackle that hurdle.
