How large is your U2 CD collection??

The topic speaks for itself. I'am trying to gauge where I stand as far as collecting non mp3 sourced CDR's. SHN converted CDR's DO count also as there is no loss of info or quality.

Currently I have approximately 230 U2 shows on CDR.

Where does everyone else stand and if anyone wants to trade for non mp3 sourced material send me an email.

I have over 60 CD's that are actual lable releases meaning excluding bootlegs and MP3's.

I have all the major albums, 2 singles, and about 8 burned collections of rarities, b-sides, and live tracks. The total comes to a meesly 25 or so...

When you talk about shows, I wonder why you limit it to just CDRs. Most of the best stuff from the 80s was not recorded on CDR but on records and then in the 90s transfered to CD. I have a lot of this stuff on tape and its just as good if not better than various shows on CDR.
I have about 50 bootlegs and all the commercially released CDs and single CDs. I'm really getting into Video Bootlegs which is a smaller area, because they are not that many PRO SHOT boots. I may E-mail you for your list. Right now I'm completing a trade, so first things first.

Sting2, I'am also including original silver CD commercial bootlegs in my total. I should have been more clear I guess. Basically anything that is not mp3 sourced is what I was referring to.

I remember the old days of going to a record show and paying $50 for a double silver commercial bootleg. It was exciting but expensive. Thank goodness for the age of CD burning!

Oh by the way, I probebly have about 50 CD bootlegs that are the original silver commercial CD bootlegs. I also have about 30 LP vinyl bootlegs from the day (man, does that make me feel old!). I also have about 300 shows on tape from the old tape trading days.

4 CD-Rs - One Joshua Tree Tour, Three Elevations

6 45's - All Joshua Tree singles including One Tree Hill, plus Pride

2 12-inch - New Year's Day, Fire (ROK)

Currently focused on import cd singles and promos.

Man I feel like a beginner. I have about 25 commercial releases, two double-CD boots from the Elevation tour, and one single-CD boot from JT tour. Then I have a couple of boots on tape and a bunch of B-sides and rarities on tape. Pity so much of my good stuff is on tape, I don't listen to it as much as I would.

And I always thought I was obsessed...

Same here I got JT, AB, R&H, ATYCLB and about 12 CDRs with B sides/live boots.

Actually it should probebly be the other way around. Those of us with more than 50 probebly have the issues!

Its really an addictive hobby once you get going.

Albums: 14 (including Passengers and Million Dollar Hotel)

Singles: 12

Rarities, etc: 3

Bootlegs: 57 (I think...constantly in a state of flux...)

That makes for a grand total of...86. Damn. That's *way* too many. And yet, mysteriously, I feel as though I will somehow obtain more...

I dont count my u2 cd's too scary but my other cd's i have 100 of them and they take up a whole shelf my u2 cd's nearly fill the other shelf the same size

which is a hell of a lotta cd's

So my u2 collection takes up a shelf for cd's, covers my walls (posters, calender etc) and a shelf in my room with books, programmes etc o and a space on my memo board for my slane ticket, oh and i have mny 11 o clock tick tock on vinyl on its own too

and yeah i have a file with u2 articles ive written for the newspaper as well

I really need a life

between store-bought CDs, a bunch I've burned myself and the MANY shows I've downloaded, am still downloading and will soon burn as well, I will probably have close to 100 various and sundry U2-ey type CDs...that's probably at least half of my entire CD collection! I'm sure that's nothing compared to Mrs. Edge's collection!
