Bono's right and Edge on his left?

Im very curious about this but Im pretty sure that they have always performed as they have now..... But the question is were they like that at the very beginning?

As far as i can tell bono didnt lead the band at their very first session isnt that right? so what happened then?

Thats a great question....a few months ago I spent about 3 days searching the web for a pic that showed Adam and Edge on opposite sides of Bono.

I never found one.

Anyone else have any luck?

I think everytime they play 40 (full band) they swap places, Adam and The Edge that is.I think its a U2 superstition that Bass should never go to the right of the frontman (depending upon from where you are seeing them)

I have never seen them live, videos or otherwise ever have a different formation........(except 40

). They probably used to practice this way and it just stuck. You usually don't see Adam move around that much at all, where as Edge moves around a little, like from middle to his right, but he can't go too far because he needs his pedals!
