I just stumbled upon it in a little hole in the ground record store. It is supposed to have 3 or 4 full concert footages taken from the Rattle and Hum filming....all never seen before. Has anyone seen it, and if so, do you recommend it? What does it really consist of? It's about $50, so just thought I would find out if it's worth it before I bought it!

Thanks for your help :)

i have a version of it. i think there are slightly different versions of it floating around on ebay or wherever

there are no complete concerts on it, just various songs from various concerts and a lot of backstage stuff and boring stuff that never made it into the movie.

there's the complete presley mansion tour, bono being taken to a hospital to get his shoulder checked out.. that was kind of weird. the nurse asked him his name and he said he didn't know.

there's Bono and Edge working on "She's Gonna Blow Your House Down" acoustically on a beach.

and a bunch of other stuff that i forgot about.

Here's what is . Highlights for great versions of NYD , One Tree Hill , Out of Control , and UF  All songs that werent on the movie ......

YouTube this stuff immediately! If anyone has these Rattle & Hum outtakes, and the ability to upload it to YouTube, then please do so. I've been wanting to see this stuff forever.

I am particularly interested in the performance of "People Get Ready" on 9/25/87 at JFK Stadium in Philadelphia. I was in the very front row (almost crushed to death by the way). Bono brought up a guy to play his guitar for that song. This was only a few feet from me. The guy was wearing an impossibly huge down winter coat when he came up on stage. (It was a cooler than usual night for September, but it was wicked hot in the front rows.) He took off his massive coat and he was wearing a Beatles t-shirt ("Let it Be" photos of the Beatles I recall). I swear that the guy looked exactly like Larry Mullen's drum technician back then (don't know his name but with reddish hair, mustache, etc.). I've always wondered if it was him because the guy did really seem like a plant to me. The covered up Beatles t-shirt (revealed for the movie cameras when he got up on stage) made me wonder.

Go ahead and flame away, but I've always wondered about what I witnessed in the front row that night. By the way, I loved the show.

I've always wanted to see this stuff, too. Hopefully if a special edition DVD of R&H comes out some of this will be on there. I am wating for a more in-depth DVD since the one released a few years ago has only the movie and nothing else.

If anyone is prepared to do this, he must have a lot of free time on his hands, lol. Do you have any idea what the filesize of 7 hours of video would be?

I believe they were listening to their cover of "Jesus Christ" in the Limo on the way to Graceland.

Yeah, I pretty much agree. A great version of Mothers of the Disapeared is on there, though.

There is a set of 9 mpegs of these (like J_NP listed) but the files are all at least 400 megs, I think the youtube limit is 100 megs per file. Would be hard to do.

Thanks everyone for your input. And thankyou, I thank you, too, for your suggestion. I must admit thought, it is enticing to just go back to the store and buy it....but maybe I will try to get it on ebay at some point later.

actually i went through ebay today and nobody is selling it right now. I suggest that if you want to see it sooner than later you get it at :

http://shop.vendio.com/RareDVDs/ite...3564/index.html

it was only a couple of dollars more than the ebay prices.

If i remember well Ebay was banning it's sale for a while because it was considered a bootleg or something like that. so it might not be sold through ebay anymore.

I got mine off ebay and the guy who burned it decided to burn it all on one disc instead of putting it on multiple discs and the quality was horrible.
