Well, in the Eastern Hemisphere it is already July 6th, or quickly approaching July 6th, so I'll start this now even though I'm in North America:

Happy 12th Birthday, ZOOROPA! You are much loved.

Please send some of your spirit to your creators. They are in need of it.

happy birthday zooropa!

fitting as today I did something I never thought I'd do...I put Zooropa as my favorite album in that thread about favortie album/5 songs. I just can't stop listening to it!

dream out loud!

Happy B'Day to U2's most inspired album & U2's coolest sound. I really think in many ways U2 peaked on that Zoo TV tour.

I've got Zooropa in my car, and in celebration I'll crank it all the way home and do my best on the falsetto...

You're the odd child out
But you're still in doubt
Even daddy doesn't talk about you
But there are those here
Who love you so dear
With a mirrorball and 'Phisto so true

So happy dozen baby
Let me untie your lace
And squeeze your lemon
When I open your case

that's awesome :D

Zooropa is infuckincredible. Happy birthday to U2's most innovative album. I've been listening to it like crazy lately, to the point where it has surpassed How to Dismantle on my list of U2 favourites and is currently tied with The Joshua Tree for third place (nothing could ever surpass Pop and Achtung, for me).

I've even dedicated my Livejournal layout to Zooropa: http://www.livejournal.com/users/sonicsoundscape :D

I love everything about this album. unfortunately I lost my Zooropa booklet  Zooropa has the best cover ever so that is very sad.

WHAT DO YOU WANT
WHAT DO YOU WANT

*sigh*

Brilliant, beautiful record. It's like a candystore for cool, delicious U2 melodies, always in small doses that leave you begging for more.

The "Lenin" intro to Daddy's Gonna Pay:drool:

Don't get me started with The Wanderer, the single most underrated U2 song ever.

Zooropa is what made us into U2 fanatics! When we were 11 it was released and someone gave our Older sister a Zooropa cassette for her Bday.
We stole it from her, listened to it until it didn't play anymore and eventually we took HER to her first U2 concert! lol

It's one of the most beautiful albums ever! It takes you to a HIGHER place indeed.

Happy Birthday!!!!

Just been staying up all night to finish some work, it's getting light and the intro to 'Zooropa' has never sounded better!
