Well not to say for sure it isn't good. But if your album has the best production that is a step toward being the best album that year.

I'll admit, U2 has 4 steps toward being album of the year - nominations for Walk On, Stuck, BD, and Elevation!

I don't think Lanois and Eno were up for it.

ALSO - Alicia Keys now has 2 grammys both in R&B categories

It really doesnt mean anything. Lanois won producer of the year in 1993 for Achtung Baby but AB did not win album of the year. I think U2 is going to get robbed on album of the year but the producer award doesnt fortell that IMO.

My local radio station is bitching that Linkin Park didn't win. The DJ said, "U2 shouldn't have won. They're not rock anymore."
