GOT NEWS?

Hi Everyone!

As many of you know, Interference sponsors U2NEWS.COM, where I update the news everyday.

Recently, we have added a new Forum here, located under the ZooTV heading, called U2 NEWS.

Quite often, I see many of you posting news articles in here that I would love to post, but the necessary URL, etc isn't offered, thus impeding my ability to post the article.

While I am able to post many wide-ranging articles, I can't and don't always find every article (ex: Private Jet for new tour) and so thus, I don't post it.

Which is where YOU GUYS come in!!! :attn: :idea:

If you find an article we haven't posted on U2NEWS.COM or the U2 News Forum, PLEASE PM or email me the pertinant details! I want to make sure we are ontop of these things, and with your help, we will be unstoppable!!

I appreciate the work, but I must admit that I really don't see the point in competing U2 news websites. Youtwo.net has been operating magnificently for years (including a wonderfully fast system without pop-up windows). Time might be better served in collaboration, or in other U2-related features.

Youtwo.net has popups.. plenty of them. As much or more than porn sites (yes i know this, im a web developer.. i know whats on the web). Youtwo.net also has ads on each and every page.. that take up half the page. We offer a service lacking that trash and will continue to do so.

Youtwo.net has one pop-up when you open the website originally, which I could really care less about. What I was referring to was that each new article does not load in a new window, making the entire process needlessly complicated and needlessly slow.

I hope I'm not coming off as ungrateful, because I know this is a completely free service and I really appreciate the honorable intent--it's just that I really see no reason for me to switch U2 news websites.

I'm not trying to be rude... but... who asked you to switch? lol.

We are providing the U2 News forum in order for people to comment/post about the news articles. A FEATURE youtwo.net does NOT offer.

I'd also like to add that my notice was to involve Interferencers in the submission of news, as I often see articles posted on the Forum that I can't find online when I search.


It's wasn't asking anyone to switch - it was saying, while you're at the Forum and you know of a news article not currently posted in the News Forum, contact me so I can post it.

May I request, by the way, that all news articles are ALSO posted in EYKIW? If you remove the polls, info about the new album, and now U2-related news I don't think there's going to be much left...

There's no reason to double post threads for use in EYKIW.

EYKIW is for U2 discussion on any topic.

U2 NEWS is for new articles discussion. It keeps clutter down.

In that case, instead of trying to organize the forum a bit, why don't we just move all the good discussion forums like FYM, Goal is Soul, and even U2 News to PLEBA...?

Whatever happened to the idea of getting rid of the POLLS from the rest of the forums except for the poll forum?
