I'm betting on a brand new SINGLE early in the new year to keep tour and chart momentum as they head to Asia (please!).

Not a HTDAAB song - a standalone song a-la A Celebration, HMTMKMKM, Sweetest Thing.

Then a new acoustic/folksy influenced album to follow in October 2007.

I agree, look what happened with The Hands that Built America and Electrical Storm several years ago.

Was ES released in 2002 or 2003? I forget. If it was 2002 we might expect something similar, meaning new U2 stuff next year, not an album most likely, a new single would be nice though.

Never have seen a band to work up anticipation like U2!!!
I think they're already introducing the new theme of the album
(ex. Instant Karma, Mercy.......). The album has to fit in with Bono's work with Africa too. Cross your fingers for a song like "Streets".
