For those of you who went to Oakland...

Out of curiosity...did anyone spot the band anywhere before or after shows? Do you know if they stayed in a local hotel (SF, Oakland)? Tosca's???

Hey! I read that they partied the night away at the Clift Hotel, in SF, and had breakfast there too, and Bono had poached eggs!
Look on youtwo.net, there were a couple of stories in there, I don't have time now, or else I would find the articles for ya!

Hey loves...
Its an L.A. Twin here...I went to both Oakland shows and the band did runners after each one. They might have stayed a while in the bay area but I know for a fact that they cam back to L.A. where they were staying for all the west coast shows. Hope that helps. See ya all in Miami!!

Well Sicy has some pics in a thread a few pages back. Is it ok Sicy to post your album?

The preshow for the VH1 special showed Bono greeting the crowd in Oakland.

But all I heard was that they were jetting in from LA direct for the show. I'll have to check those stories!

Yes, *sigh* debbiesg, I was waiting both days for Bono too, and Thursday was the day we were in GA, we waited outside from about 3 to 4:30, but then went back to the GA line, the next day they told me that VH1 was filming and that the band arrived at 6:40ish.
I got a pic with this adorable dog that came out with one of the crew, the cutest little thing had on a "U2 crew pass" with his pic on it! And on Friday I got Edge's autograph on my ZooTV program and on my Boy album cover...

after their recent concert. Hotelier Ian Schrager, in town for meetings,
breakfasted with singer Bono, who asked not for boiled bacon and

U2SJ, thanks for the links, and I'll get back to that email soon! Great you got Edges autograph and a picture...I think elevatemysoul did too. I of course had to keep my perfect record of missing Edge and Bono. Ah well, just wasn't meant to be!
