Personally, my favorites are "In the Name of the Father" (fantastic film, too) and "I've Got You Under My Skin" ...though "Do They Know It's Christmas" is probably my favorite Christmas song (the original, of course...). What about the Interference crew - your favorites? I'm sure I've forgotten quite a few, so by all means, have at it.

It's probably not the best but I have always liked that version of When the Stars Go Blue that you mentioned.

How is Two Shots Of Happy, One Shot Of Sad Non-U2? It was a b-side on the If God Will Send His Angels single.

I love the When The Stars Go Blue collaboration. Awesome performance by Bono.

My favorites (in order of when the performances took place) are:

"Do They Know It's Christmas?"
"New Gold Dream" (Live) [Bono w/Simple Minds]
"Heroine"
"Purple Heart" [Bono w/T. Bone Burnett]
"In the Name of the Father"
"Billy Boola" [Bono w/Gavin Friday and Maurice Seezer]
"Theme From Mission: Impossible"
"Dreaming With Tears in My Eyes" [Bono & Larry]
"New Day" [Bono & Wyclef Jean]
"A Dying Sailor to His Shipmates"
"Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds"

The Captive soundtrack is nothing short of fantastic. Definitely my favourite non-U2 release, unless you're one of those types who doesn't consider Passengers a U2 album.

In A Lifetime's also pretty damn good.

I like the two songs w/ the Corrs, Bono & Chris Martin's version of What's Going On, Bono & Michael Hutchense's Slide Away, and Larry & Adam's Mission Impossible.

I like a few on that list a lot. I really like Bono's Dying Sailor To His Shipmates, and I don't see it listed there but also Bono's Dreaming With Tears in My Eyes.

I definitely love the two songs he did with the Corrs.

Also, the Tony Bennet duet "I wanna be around" and the song he did with Alicia Keys "Don't give up"

Bono also recorded a song with Mick Jagger for his solo album: "Joy"

In A Lifetime and In the Name of the father, easy.
The original band aid is of course fantastic, band aid 20 is one of the biggest sacks of crap ever released. What's going On isn't much better and that thing with Wyclef was just awful.
Axver is 100% correct regarding Captive.

Yeah I knew it was Mike Mills but damn he's like a splitting image of Gatesy.

Also there's a kid in yr7 at our school who is a splitting image of Dewey, from Malcolm in the Middle. I wanted to take a photo but he wouldn't let me

I was always a fan of Slide Away, I had the mp3 of it but it went missing :( I've tried looking for the CD but it appears to have gone out of print and I'm not crazy about paying ebay prices...

Other favs would be In The Name Of The Father and Billy Boola , Rowena's Theme from the Captive Soundtrack and When The Stars Go Blue.

In no particular order because it's hard to choose:

In the Name of the Father (Bono and Gavin Friday)
Mission: Impossible (Larry Mullen and Adam Clayton)
One (Automatic Baby - Larry Mullen and Adam Clayton)
In a Lifetime (Clannad and Bono)

Btw the original version of Silver and Gold is also a side project: Bono + Keith Richards and Ron Wood.
Which reminds me of Sun City: Bono + a bunch of others :)

No love for MDH soundtrack ? GBHF, Stateless, Never let me go, Falling at your feet.
